The Legend
There was an orchard behind the palace, and the gods were forbidden to touch it. Hebea picked anyway. She ground the apricot stones fine as sand and folded them into milk and almond oil, with lemongrass for the scent of the trees at noon. A bar that polishes as it washes. Skin like the fruit, not the stone.
